See The Steps To Our Process
New pool construction can sometimes be messy, loud and sometimes overwhelming. We want to make sure our clients are as prepared as possible. Take a look at the typical construction steps below so you can be ready for what is to come. Remember, after the mess comes something beautiful!
STEP ONE – Layout
Construction team comes out to the property to layout the pool shape for approval. Changes to shape and size can still happen at the stage. Homeowners can now visualize the pool in the backyard! Time to start!
STEP TWO – Excavation
Usually takes about 4-6 hours to complete depending on the size of the pool. Machine will come in a dig the pool and bring the dirt back out to the street to a dump truck.
BE PREPARED – SITE ACCESS
This is a possible example of what your access will look like during excavation! It was raining on us during this dig so the ground is a little muddy but we want our client to be aware of the possibilties prior to start!
STEP THREE – Steel/Rebar
Steel process takes 3-4 hours to complete. Steel rebar is bent around the pool to help make the gunite shell stronger. We steel all walls, floor, benches, tanning ledges, and water features.
STEP FOUR – Gunite
Gunite is one of the most important steps to building a pool! This stage can be a little messy and dusty but once gunite is complete the pool is safe from all outside elements. Gunite usually takes about 6 hours to complete! After the gunite is sprayed in the pool we hand trowel to make the inside smooth. Gunite must be watered with a hose 2x daily for 10days.
STEP FIVE – EQUIPMENT SET
All plumbing is and electrical underground lines are run at this stage. All equipment is delivered and mounted to the pad.
BE PREPARED! – Trenches
Large trenches are required to be dug in order to run the plumbing lines the equipment pad. They will be covered and filled in as soon as it is complete!
STEP SIX – Tile and Coping
Tile and coping is one of the longest stages of the pool construction taking 1-3 days or even longer depending on the size of the project. This is where all mason work for the pool will be completed! Now we are finally starting to look like a pretty pool!
STEP SEVEN- Deck Form
All surrounding grass its removed and leveled. Form board are set up around the perimeter. All 4″ drainage lines are run under the deck to the street. Finally rebar is added to the deck form to make the concrete stronger.
STEP EIGHT- Deck Pour
This is a Pea Gravel Install. Just one of the many deck installation we can do. First concrete is poured into the forms than the gravel is thrown on top for a pretty finished look. Concrete must be stayed off of for at least 24-48 hours to allow time to cure and harden.
STEP NINE- Clean-Up
We come in after deck pour to clean up the yard of any debris and level the ground to prepare for sod installation!
STEP TEN – Plaster
Most exciting step of all! Your pool is finally coming to life!! Plaster takes about 4-5 hours to complete and is all hand troweled to ensure smoothness! Once the plaster is completed we immediately start filling with water. It will take 1-2 days for the pool to be completely full of water!
